I found a buried brass Chinese dragon phoenix I-CHING amulet? Good luck or does this have to be buried?

I was tripping on the edge of it when I decided to dig around it and pulled it out of the ground...Someone told me I should have left it there and someone else told me it brings good luck. and to wear it as an amulet..and another friend on mine told me to place it in a healthy plant... not sure what to do with it...Serious answers only....
