Was Harry Potter and the Horcruxes copied from the old movie called "Dragonslayer"?

These sorts of similarities happen. The idea of the horcruxes is not entirely original - people have hidden fragments of their soul inside objects to prevent themselves from dying before, ie Sauron and the ring of power - but then again, neither is the idea of magic, of using wands, or of the hero dying to save his friends and then resurrecting (a very Biblical and mythological concept). Ideas just repeat themselves within literature and art, without the author's intentional "copying" of anything else.
