Why are people so deluded?

Why do people believe that religion is real ? its just hundreds of years of superstition, and false stories. I am not saying im an atheist but you must be so deluded by your parents / people around you to convince you that all this bullshit is real, there are hundreds of religions who all think their faith is correct, dosent that just prove it ? I am also not saying science is correct about everything ( but it pretty much is ) but who genuinly gives a ****, get on with life, Worshipping "god" wont do jack **** for you.
