Oblivion spelldrinker amulet question?

I just obtained the spelldrinker amulet at lvl 20 and it gives me 20 spell absorption, i read that it gives 26 at lvl 30, does that mean i need to go back and get it later when im 30 or will it upgrade as i lvl up?
